Dr. Abhishek S. Gowdar

Dr. Abhishek S. Gowdar believes that excellent newborn care begins with listening to the baby’s clinical needs and understanding the concerns of parents. His approach combines careful medical judgment, empathy, and clear communication to provide comprehensive care for newborns, particularly those requiring specialized neonatal intensive care.

He has clinical experience managing extremely preterm infants, very low birth weight babies, and critically ill newborns in tertiary-level NICU settings. His expertise includes advanced respiratory support, neonatal hemodynamic assessment, functional echocardiography, neonatal resuscitation, and the management of complex conditions such as neonatal sepsis, necrotizing enterocolitis, and hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy.

Dr. Gowdar completed his MBBS at Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute, his MD in Pediatrics at Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, and his DM in Neonatology at AIIMS Raipur. His clinical interests include neonatal neurology, high-risk newborn follow-up, point-of-care ultrasound, cardiopulmonary physiology, and the application of artificial intelligence and digital innovation to improve neonatal care.

He has presented research and clinical case reports at scientific forums and developed digital tools designed to improve NICU workflow, neonatal monitoring, and prescription safety.

His philosophy is simple: provide evidence-based treatment, communicate clearly with parents, and ensure that every clinical decision puts the newborn’s best interests first.
